Angitu is a culturally responsive, kaupapa Maaori leadership programme designed to meet the needs of rangatahi most at risk of adverse life outcomes. With a heavy focus on solidifying cultural identity and connection, we will foster and develop rangatahi skills based on their interests and will prioritise their wellbeing while equipping them with the tools needed to attain their version of success.

MAURI ORA

POU WHAA

Rangatahi will focus on building self-awareness by identifying and addressing their needs. Hauora is a core component of this pou and the rangatahi will be empowered with the tools to constantly seek out Mauri Ora.
TARHI will prioritise meaningful pastoral care in two phases to ensure the rangatahi is in constant pursuit of mauri ora.
- Phase 1 : 12-weeks intensive pastoral care to keep the rangatahi engaged post-placement (Transport cost support, advocacy, mentoring).
- Phase 2 : 12-months needs based pastoral care (training bookings, role progression, driving lessons (if applicable), licence bookings).
